Here at Interface we have found that customers have an increasing requirement to perform on site calibrations of test equipment. The Interface 1600 Gold Standard, while an excellent calibration load cell is often considered too heavy for easy portability. We have therefore developed the new 2200 series to meet this need. Weighing between 35lb and 45lbs, the 2200 series is relatively light weight. Supplied with carrying handles, these load cells are easier to transport and position than equivalent Low Profile units.

The 2200 series is available in 100K-lb and 200K-lb capacities with a performance of <0.10% full scale ensuring the highest levels of accuracy. Each load cell is supplied with an ASTM E74 calibration with ISO-376 available if required.

So when a customer came to us with a challenging application to measure uniformity of force in a mould clamping device, we were happy to help. 

We custom built a micro junction box measuring just 50mm x 50mm x 25mm linked to three Interface LBM load buttons, each with it’s own adjustment pot.  The junction box was switch-able four-ways to enable output from each load button or total load to be displayed via a hi-resolution digital display.

The receiver (WTS-BS) can be either a hand held with 6 digit indicator, or a USB / analogue device capable of logging data during the user’s tests.
